Barça Set to Play Historic Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.
Stadium Testing
Barça organized a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium earlier this month. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht on 9 December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
